Schloss Libermé

Schloss Libermé Wasserburg, älteste Erwähnung 1334 als Lehensgut des Aachener Marienstifts. Im 16. Jahrhundert umgebaut, 1684 von französischen Truppen niedergebrannt, wieder aufgebaut, im 18. Jahrhundert erneut abgebrannt und aufgebaut. Zu Beginn der zwanziger Jahre des 20. Jahrhunderts komplett renoviert. Die Vorburg mit Bauernhof stammt aus dem 16. Jahrhundert.

Castle Libermé This moated castle is first mentioned in 1334 as a ‘feudal liege’ property of the Aachen "Marienstift". Rebuilt in the 16th Century, it was sacked and burned down by the French in 1684, rebuilt and again burned down in the 18th Century, only to be rebuilt once more. Fully renovated at the beginning of the last century, the outer wall with its farmhouse dates from the 16th.
